I travel between the two Lansing area Home Depots and make sure the live good are fresh and attractive for the customers. I also create custom signage and holiday displays.
LET YOUR LOVE GROW
2025 Valentines Day display
Sandworm Halloween display
Old planter pots from the recycling bin, painted and fastened together to make a 20' Beetlejuice sandworm that stretched across three tables.
Flowerpot creations
Flowerpot Frankenstein and Friendly Neighborhood Spider for Halloween display at Okemos, MI Home Depot.
Mini pumpkin display
Consolidating the last of the season's pumpkins into a jack-o-lantern face.
Nutcrackers
I use the materials I have available - mostly old flowerpots. Here are some nutcrackers built for the Lansing, MI Home Depot.
Christmas Village
Another flowerpot creation including a 3' tall Christmas tree. Look closely for the little people created from paint swatches.
Birdhouse Village
Moss-covered birdhouses arranged with other plants and scavenged masonry to create a tiny village atmosphere.
Hand-drawn signage
Marker Illustration signage for the various plants and displays. This set took less than an hour to create and I have so many more - like stacks and stacks.
Poinsettia Display
We had a LOT of poinsettias this season so there were lots of opportunities to arrange new displays.
Indoor tropicals
During the winter months I arrange and maintain the indoor tropicals, cacti and succulents.
Outdoor Garden Centers
During the spring, summer and fall I am also responsible for the outdoor annuals and perennials. That's over 25 tables to arrange between the two stores.
Flowers and more flowers
The summer months are full of fast-paced, labor-intensive work, but the creative freedom and working outside make it very rewarding.
